Scholarship requests are considered during the registration period and will remain confidential. Families may apply [here] before starting the registration process.
Frequently Asked Questions
For new players and parents, here are answers to some frequently asked questions:
Are beginners welcome? Yes! Many of our players are beginners, and we have certified coaches dedicated to teaching the game in a safe, fun, and positive environment.
Can girls play rugby? Absolutely! All our Grade K-8 programs are coed. Our fall flag program is also open to high school girls.
What equipment do I need? Flag players can wear sneakers or cleats, mouthguard is optional. Tackle players require a mouthguard and cleats. Optional gear includes a soft-shell scrum cap, shoulder/chest padding, and compression wear.
Can my child play rugby alongside other sports? It depends. Our flag programs are always on Sundays so if you have a Saturday sport you should be fine! The tackle teams are more of a time and physical committment. We do expect attendance at practice and games for playing time. If you are not sure, reach out and we can discuss.
Will my child get playing time? Yes, flag teams are small-sided games (5v5, 6v6) so everyone gets loads of playing times. Everyone plays on tackle teams provided they are attending practices consistently.
