Hi, my name is John Barrot and I'm fundraising for Stamford Rugby Club Inc., a nonprofit youth sports organization serving Stamford, Connecticut and surrounding towns.
Why rugby?
Kids need access to a range of affordable, accessible, social and fun recreation and enrichment activities. To play rugby, kids just need cleats and a mouthguard. Boys and girls of all backgrounds and abilities play rugby. It's a great way for kids to stay active, challenge themselves and make lifelong friends.
About our program
Our program will have U10, U12 and U14 age groups in our first season this Spring. We will play against other towns in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. We also plan to collaborate with the High Schools to form a high school team. The club has been approved by Connecticut Rugby and USA Rugby.
How will the funds be used?
We will use these funds to pay for startup costs including equipment, uniforms, field fees and referee & trainer fees and to provide free or discounted registration to families in need.
